Think of them as turbocharged toddlers, minus the tantrums (mostly). Not a parent myself, but word on the dog park is, puppies are a breeze to train compared to tots. That's not to say raising a puppy is without its challenges and difficulties, but watching your pup grow up from the puppy stage to full adult doggo-hood is truly inspiring.
